Forest Gate Victorian Home Renovation
One of the key construction highlights of the project is the large rear glazing element, designed to completely transform the ground floor living space. The installation of this oversized window required precise structural coordination, as it plays a critical role in opening the home towards the garden and bringing natural light deep into the interior. Once installed, it became the defining feature of the house, visually and physically connecting indoor and outdoor living.
Internally, the ground floor was fully reconfigured to create a contemporary open-plan kitchen and dining space, anchored by a central island. The kitchen installation required detailed coordination of services, finishes, and joinery to achieve a clean and functional layout suited to modern family life. A key architectural and construction feature is the interior Crittall-style door, introduced to subtly separate the living area from the main staircase.
